The New Waverly Bulldogs saved their best for last, topping Trinity 42-35 in a back-and-forth battle that had Bulldog fans on their feet all night.
Offense clicked in the second half and the defense came up with a critical stop late to seal it. The win capped a season of growth for a young roster playing in one of the area's toughest districts.
